JPMorgan Chase Risk Management - Auto Risk Investment Insights - Executive Director in Plano, Texas

As an Executive Director of the Auto Risk Management organization you will be responsible for leading the Investments & Insights function. You will be highly visible by senior stakeholders and will be responsible for auto narrating trends, anticipate new and emerging risks, influence the auto securitization agenda and use expert judgement to form a viewpoint that can be leveraged in strategic investment decisions, senior stakeholder communication and management of regulatory engagement. You must be able to provide strategic guidance and credible review challenge to senior leaders and the business while excelling at creative thinking, problem solving, effective communication, project and relationship management, and should be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a team as well as work independently to successfully complete analytical tasks starting with problem identification, defining objectives, data discovery, synthesis and analysis, formulating concise conclusions with actionable recommendations, and creating presentations to pitch findings and/or viewpoints spanning across both retail and wholesale lending

  • Responsible for risk assessment and views on Auto securitization agenda as well as handling investor communication

  • Oversees and centralize the communications from the Auto Risk team, including content, reporting, messaging and communications to both internal and external audiences

  • Build relationships within Auto and across the organization to proactively gather insights, stay in sync and deliver within timelines risk impact assessment and broad industry trends - strong ability to work under tight timelines

  • Leverage industry and competitor insights as part of staying up to date on evolving trends and impact to auto business

  • Answer ambiguous questions comfortably, by forming a credit point of view and generating creative solutions that address the requests

  • Actively participate and present in Risk meetings and forums

  • Participate in senior management requests, including responding to ad-hoc questions and preparing talking points for investor meetings/presentations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Risk Management and/or Finance and 5 years of management-level experience preferably at a large financial institution.

  • 5+ years of strategic analytics experience, preferably in financial services industry with consumer credit risk analytics background

  • Superior communication skills, including active listening and the ability to capture and deliver key takeaways from engagements in writing.

  • Strong presence, comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management

  • Strong analytical programming and proficient technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication and presentation skills

  • Critical eye for detail and strong project management skills

  • Highly motivated, confident, and proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, able to perform under pressure and to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines

Preferred qualifications , capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced degree is preferred

  • Auto industry experience is a plus
