Actalent Engineering is hiring for a long term consultant to support CAE Analysis in a Automotive Crash Safety Environment. Analysis group is responsible for all crash safety analysis, everything from full vehicle front/side/rear crash modes to white body strength modes such as Roof Crush and Seat Strength to Pedestrian analysis. Perspective candidates would support analysis in the greatest area of need and have the potential to support several different areas. Job Description Details: Prepare and perform crash safety-related impact simulations using LS-DYNA. Evaluate the results of the simulations through careful analysis of crash simulations. Measure these simulations against the target automobile performance criteria based on advanced safety standards such as the New Car Assessment Program and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety criteria in addition to Honda's internal safety standards. Determine the appropriate countermeasures to meet the criteria if simulation outcomes are below target performance. Communicate any recommendations to the appropriate Engineering teams with Honda. Create detailed engineering documentation of simulation analysis by generating written reports and working with design and test engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

(1) LS-Dyna experience of at least 5 years – this is the software we utilize in our group to run the analysis (2) ANSA/MetaPost experience of at least 3 years – this is the software we use to pre/post-process our analysis (3) Previous Crash safety experience of at least 5 years: Needs to have experience running crash models, full vehicle crash experience is preferred but not necessarily required (4) Able to come into the office at least 3 days/week  Hybrid work expectation is at least 3 days in office per week (thereby preference is for someone willing to relocate to Ohio)
